Essential
A small piece of browser storage (not a cookie, technically) records your cookie consent choice so we don't show the banner to you again. This runs whether you accept or decline analytics, because it's needed to remember your decision.

If you're a landlord and you sign in to the portal, one more essential cookie is set to keep you signed in.
__Host-portal_session, set only after you sign in to the landlord portal. Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. It's needed for the portal to work, so it's set without asking, but you only ever get it if you sign in. It clears when you sign out or the session expires.
Analytics (only if you accept)
If you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymisation enabled. This helps us understand which pages people use and how to improve the site. The data is anonymous and aggregated, and we cannot identify you personally from it. Google may process this data on servers outside the UK.

Cookie consent banner
When you first visit the site, a banner appears asking whether you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics only loads if you click "Accept". If you click "Decline", no analytics cookies are set, only the essential consent record above.
Changing your mind
To reset your choice and see the banner again, clear the local storage for brightsparks-york.com in your browser settings. Alternatively, browser extensions like uBlock Origin or your browser's built-in tracking protection can block analytics regardless of the banner.
No other tracking
We don't run advertising cookies, third-party trackers, social media pixels, heatmap tools, or session recording tools on this site.
