I don't do gas work myself, but if you'd like, I can keep your gas safety record date on file and give you a nudge before it's due, so you've time to book it in with your Gas Safe registered engineer.

I don't carry out EPC assessments, but if you'd like, I can keep your EPC's expiry date on file and give you a nudge before it runs out, so you've time to arrange a new one with an accredited energy assessor.

Smoke and CO alarms

Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms carry a replace-by date set by the manufacturer. If you'd like, I can keep that date on file and give you a nudge before it's up, so you've time to swap the units over before then.

I keep these dates only to send your reminders, and I'll remove them whenever you ask.

I'll use these details to track your renewal dates and remind you before each one is due, nothing else, unless you tick the tips box below. I don't ask for or store your tenants' details, and I never sell your details or pass them on to anyone else to use for their own ends. Close your profile whenever you like, just ring me, message me, or reply STOP to any reminder, and I'll delete the details you've given me here. If I've also done paid work for you, the records I have to keep (certificates, invoices) stay on file, as my privacy policy explains.

What if I shut up shop?

Here's the thing landlords worry about with a one-man band: what happens if he packs it in? Two straight answers. Your EICR stands on its own. It's valid for the period stated on the report whatever happens to my business, because the regulations ask for a report from a qualified, competent person at the time of the inspection. And any installation or remedial work I've certified is backed by NICEIC's Platinum Promise: if I ever ceased trading, NICEIC would arrange another registered contractor to put right any evidenced non-compliant safety issues at no extra cost to you, up to £25,000 (capped at what you paid), for six years from the date of the work, on domestic properties.
